YOGA TEACHER TRAINING - Spring 2018
The e3 vinyasa 200-hour TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM, taught in conjunction with BALANCE YOGA, serves as a foundational learning and experiential laboratory over the course of one calendar year. You will learn foundational, applicable knowledge through experiential learning and self-study (svadyaya), coupled with extensive practice teaching. You will graduate from this training program with the skills and tools to confidently teach in a group class, corporate or private session... or know your overall practice on a whole new level then before you started the training program. This is a training program - taught by Balance yoga owner, Nani Bacon, e3 owner and Balance instructor, Malia Scott, and Balance instructor/manager, Melissa Afflerbach - that will teach you sequence formatting and will give you a solid blueprint to teach from using the built in e3 cues pertaining to embodiment, energetics and empowerment.

YOGA NIDRA now on schedule monthly
A FANTASTIC, RELAXING YOGA EXPERIENCE FOR ALL LEVELS!
Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage. The practitioner is guided into deep relaxation and systematically drawn into awareness of their internal body. Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation attainable while still maintaining full consciousness. This deep relaxation technique has been helpful with reducing stress and anxiety.
This 60 minute unheated class will calm the mind and sooth the body. Come prepared to move and rest!

Yin Yoga has been a popular class at Balance Yoga for years, but was only offered on Thursday nights. In order to give more people an opportunity to experience this deeply relaxing class, we are adding 2 additional class times with the excellent Malia Scott.

Meditation is Back!
Guided Meditation, after a brief Summer hiatus, is back on the schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning 9/19.
Meditation can be practiced seated on a provided backjack chair, on yoga blankets or with blocks for comfort and support. The class consists of a beginning breathwork with a brief description of that day's plan, then progressing into guided meditation drawing from many traditions which may include Mantra Meditation, Guided Imagery, Mindfulness, Chakra Crystal Singing Bowl Meditation and more. Beginners to practicing meditators will benefit from this class.
